This month is extra special. America is celebrating its 250th birthday, and our community has so much to be proud of—its spirit, its resilience, and the way neighbors come together. We’re also celebrating an important milestone of our own: State Farm’s 104-year birthday was in June.
Since 1922, State Farm has worked alongside generations of families as America experienced major turning points—through the Great Depression, the challenges of World War II, the growth of the postwar era, the momentum of the Civil Rights Movement, and the many moments when life changed quickly and risk needed real answers. We’ve been there through eras of progress and uncertainty—from the moon landing years to the resilience shown after 9/11, the rebuilding after the Great Recession, and the care communities relied on during COVID-19. State Farm has been there and will continue to be there for many more years.

Protecting what matters most is something I care deeply about—your family, your home, and the life you’re building here in Waterloo and across the Cedar Valley. At Matt Hennig State Farm, I focus on helping neighbors feel confident about their Auto, Home, Renters, Life, and Business insurance by making sure coverage actually fits real‐life situations, not just check boxes on a policy.
I’m a proud Waterloo resident, married for 22 years, and the father of three amazing kids—including a proud Eagle Scout parent. Community matters to me. I stay involved as a Scouting America volunteer, serving as Assistant Scoutmaster for Scout Troop 29, Committee Chair for Scout Troop 55, Shooting Sports Chairman and Director for Winnebago Council 173, and a member of the Winnebago Council Executive Board. I also volunteer with Junior Achievement because helping young people prepare for the future is something I believe in strongly.
Professionally, I bring more than 20 years of insurance and financial services experience to the table. I’ve been serving State Farm customers since 2008 and have proudly supported families and small businesses throughout the Cedar Valley and Waterloo since 2016. I earned my B.S. in Marketing and Management from the University of Illinois Chicago and completed my ChFC through The American College of Financial Services. I’m also a State Farm Ambassador Travel Qualifier, recognition I value because it reflects consistent service and commitment.
